h~ ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A I
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE FOR I
THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
C WHEREAS, Section 735.27 of the Ohio Revised Code provides for the
establishment, by the legislative authority of a Village, a Parks and Recrea-
tion Committee: and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio
that it is now necessary to establish a Parks and Recreation Committee:
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, Ohio, (' of the elected members concurring:
I SECn ON 1. That, pursuant to Section 735.27 of~the Ohio Revised Code,
there is hereby established in and for the Village of Dublin,Ohio a Parks
and Recreation Committee.
SECn ON 2. That said Committee shall be composed of seven (7) members
who shall be appointed by and in the following manner:
0 A. One member shall be the Village Administrator.
i B. One member shall be a member of the Council of the

Village of Dublin, chosen by a majority vote of
said Council; and

C. Three members who shall be residents of the Village .
of Dublin, Ohio shall be appointed by a majority vote
of the Council of the Village of Dublin, Ohio; and
D. One member shall be appointed by the Mayor of the
Village of Dublin, Ohio; and
E. One member may be appointed by the Washington Local
Board of Education. "

SECn ON 3. The tenns of said Committee ,fember shall be as follows:

A. The Village Administrator shall be a permanent member of the
rll Committee; and

B. The member of Council shall be selected armually
at the first meeting of Council in January of each
year; and
C. The three members who are residents appointed under
Section 2B above shall serve for two year terms, however,
initially, one of said members shall be appointed for a

three year term, one for a two year term, and one for a one year term.
Thereafter,.as each member's term expires, the appointment shall be for

I a year term; and

D.The member appointed by the Mayor shall serve for a two year
term; and
all of said,members shall continue their membership on the Committee
until their successor is appointed; and, nothing herein shall prevent any mem
ber from serving more than one term on said Committee. .
SECTION 4. The Committee shall make recommendations to the Legislative
Authority of the Village regarding any and all matters pertaining to the
Village's parks and recreation program; and the Committee shall, at least
quarterly, submit to the Legislative Authority, a report of its activities.
SECTION 6. That this Ordinance supercedes any previous Ordinance
of the Village establishing a Parks and Recreation Committee.
