AN ORDINANCE PROMOTING PATROLMAN JOSHUA M. VANCE TO THE RANK OF
SERGEANT: SETTING HIS COMPENSATION: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
f -...". vVEEREAS, Council is of the opinion that Joshua M. Vance is a
~.l suitable person for such promotion:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That from and after January 1, 1975, Joshua M. Vance
shall bear the title of SERGEANT, and shall be compensated as a
SERGEANT under the guidelines as established in Village Ordinance
55-74.
SECTION 2. That the credit given to Joshua M. Vance for prior
service when hired or appointed as a Patrolman in June of 1973,
shall apply in this promotion to the rank of SERGEANT;
SECTION 3. That all other' provisions of Ordinance 55-74 relating
to fringe benefits, vacation, sick leave, etc., shall apply in
\ this promotion to SERGEANT:
\ SECTION 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared
to be an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of the
\ public peace, health and safety for the reason that a promotion to
~ the rank of SERGEANT in the Dublin Police Department is currently
needed to assist the Chief of Police in his duties and to establish
, a chain of command, and that this Ordinance shall be retroactive and
1 shall take effect and be in force as of January 1, 1975.
