l AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
I
I THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVERTISE
'I FOR BIDS FOR TWO (2) POLICE CRUISERS,
t LESS TRADE-IN ALLOWANCE ON TWO (2) 1976 I
CRUISERS AND SETTING FORTH THE SPECIFI- I
CATIONS:
WHEREAS, the Village is in need of new Police Crui~ers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORD~NED by the Counci I of the Vi Ilage of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the members elected-thereto con-
curring:
SECT I ON I. That the Vi lIage Admi n i strator be, and he hereby is,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for two (2) new
police cruisers, less trade-in allowance on two (2) 1976 cruisers
the new cruisers having the following specifications:
. Cruisers shall be new 1978, four door sedans, wheel base 110 inch
minimum and 113 inch maximum. Color shall be white, manufacturer
standard.
SEATS AND UPHOlSTERY: FRONT: Heavy duty springs, cushions and
backs, cushions to have foam rubber pads, heavy duty arms for
.' support of seat backs (Fleet model not acceptable). REAR: Stan-
U dard as supplied for current models. COVERING MATERIALS: Nylon
cloth with vinyl trim, heavy duty, colors to harmonize. Color
I se.tect ion information to be furnished with bids.
ENGINE: Shall be eight cylinder not to exceed 360 cubic inches
heavy duty displacement engine. Vehicle shall be capable of
accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 12 seconds with a minimum top
speed of 100 mph in 60 seconds. All bidders shall include the
E.P.A. estimates of average mileage for the vehicles they are
submitting for consideration.
TRANSM ISS ION: Shall be the Hydro-Matic, Cruise-O-Matic, Torque
Flite of equal 3 speed automatic.
TIRES: Standard size Police radial, not less than F series.

WHEE LS: Minimum 14- x 7".
BRAKES: Heavy duty power brakes with dual master cylinder. Di sc
front brakes.
SPRINGS AND SHOCK ABSORBERS: Heavy duty Spring and suspension.

\ ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT: 12 !VO It system, heavy duty battery not
,.'.~ less than 70 amps. The alternator~ system shall be heavy duty -
minimum 60 ampere output. Shall be equipped with radio noise
suppression equipment which shall include suppression type spark
plugs and wiring.
AIR CONDITIONING: Shall be factory installed with vented outlets
in the instrument panel acceptable for Police operation.
STEERING: Shall be power steering.
1I GHTS: Shall be the manufacturers standard.

13. Visible oil, temp., etc. guages (opposed to red light type)

15. One soleniod to activate siren, 36" of 6 guage lead-in-wire.
Delivery date to be specified in bids.
All bids shall be sealed and shall be filed with the Village Ad-
min istrator before 12:00 Noon ./J"i- I, 1978, at which time said
bids shall be opened. All bids shall be accompanied by bond or
certified check in the amount of $100.00. The Council of the
Village of Dublin reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
All bids shall be LESS trade-in allowance with RADIO, RED LIGHTS,
RADAR, P.A., ETC. removed from said trade-in.
