AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ,

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS i
FOR A NEW DUMP TRUCK; SETTING FORTH SPECI-
D FICATIONS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS the Village is in need of a new Dump Truck:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
SECTION I. That the Village Administrator be, and her hereby is,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for a new Dump
Truck, cab and chaesis with dump body, to be used with front
Mounted snow-plow and rear mounted spreader, having the following
specifications:
I 1978 or
I . Latest model avai lable 1979.
22. G.V.W. rating 27500 pounds.
3. Wheelbase - 84 inches from rear of cab to center of axle.
4. Front Axle - minimum capacity 9000 pounds.
5. Rear Axle - minimum capacitv 18500 pounds.
[] 6. Front Springs - 5400 lb. pad rated springs.
7. Rear Main - 10500 pounds with au.iliaries.
8. Front Sbocks - heavy duty.
9. Service Brakes - heavy duty vac. - hydraulic with fr~e
mounted booster and 15X7 shoes and reserve tank.
10. Engine - 427 cubic inches or greater v-8 heavy duty.
II. Color - Omaha Orange cab with Dlack frame and undercarraige.
12. Cooling system - radiator to be so positioned as to allow
power take-off to pass under or through for the operation
of a caan k-shaft driven power take off. Coo ling systent
shall be covered by manufactures warranty.
13. Frante - heavy duty frante with inverted L frame reinforce-
ment or equal tensile strength of Hi-tensile steel rail.
~ 14. Battery - 70 amp. h~. heavy duty.
15. Alternator - 60 amp. heavy duty.
16. Mirrors - 2 - West Coast 7"XI6" (adjustable)
17. Fuel tank - 2 step tanks with guages, dual 50 gallon capa-
city each, mounted on frame.
18. Transmission - automatic - 5 speed allison or equal preferr-
ed gear ratio 7:1 plus or minus .2.
19. Windshield wiper - dual variable speed electric with washers
20. Cab - equipped with all standard equipment, with individual

28. Dump body - ($.1 ion-Peabody or equiv.lent) shall be 10 feet
lon9'.nd 7 feet wide with .t le.st 27 inch sides and 33 inch
ends. Cab is to be protected by one-half cover.ge c.b
shield. M.terial chute is to be installed in center of t.il
9.te. Latching hardware to be over shot design (to .llow
mounting of spre.der box), hoist to be 8 inch cylinder twin
arm clas. No:50. This hoist sh.11 be furnished with forced
action up and down. The color sh.11 be forest green with
~h I.ck frame .nd underbody. All lights and reflectors to be
installed in .ccordance with State code; mud flaps to be
furnished with body.
29. Delivery date to be specified in bid and must be within (90)
days after acceptance of bid.
Truck .nd body to be rust-proof tre.ted (Zee-B.rt or equal).
All bids shall be sealed and shall be filed with the Village
Administrator, Village of Dublin, Ohio before 12:00 Noon E.S.T.

opened. All bids shall be .ccompanied by bond or certified check
D in the amount of $100.00. The Council of the Village of Dublin
reserves the right to reject any and .11 bids.
SECTION 2. That this Ordin.nce be, and the same hereby is, de-
clared to be .n emergency measure necessary for the imMdiate
preservation of the public he.lth .nd safety and for the reason
that a new Dump Truck is presently needed to protect the health
and safety of the residents of the Vi Ilage, .nd this Ordinance
