O. ~ Form No. 2806-A Ordinance No._______Q_.l____L_7 p assed_______.___Q_~IJ__7.J9Z1______________19 ----- -- i I AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION PLAN, 1 ASSIGNING COMPENSATION LEVELS, PROVIDING FOR 1 NORMAL WORK WEEKS AND OVERTIME, ESTABLISHING ~ PAID HOLIDAYS, ESTABLISHING SICK PAY, AND ESTAB- LISHING VACATION ENTITLEMENTS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO. BE IT ORDAINED by the Counci I of the Village of Dubl in, Ohio ~ of the members concurring, that: i SECTION I. The annual and hourly rates of compensation as indi- cated in the following SECTION 3, shall be the plan of compensa- tion for all regular positions in the Village. Salary rates are based on twenty-four (24) pay periods per year. In converting from annual to hourly rates for overtime computations, full-time shall be considered as 2080 hours per year. SECTION 2. The normal work week for full-time employees shall be forty (40) hours. In the event any employee is required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week said employee will be paid an amount equal to 150% of the hourly rate for the excess hours worked. All overtime hours must be approved and authorized by the Mayor or Village Administrator. SECTION 3. The Mayor and Village Administrator shall have the r authority to establish the compensation, within the designated ra- 1 nges, of employees holding the following listed positions; payable ; according to the provisions of SECTION I of this Ordinance. A) Clerical Assistants- $6,000/per year to $IO,OOO/per year B) Police Patrolmen $8,000/per year to $12,500/per year C) Maintenance Men $8,000/per year to $12,500/per year 0) Police Sergeants $IO,OOO/per year to $13,500/per year E) Po lice Li eutenants $11,OOO/per year to $14,500/per year F) Maintenance Supert. $12,000/per year to $16,000/per year G) Pol ice Chief $12,000/per ~ar to $16,000/per year H) Vi Ilage Administrator $15,000/per year to $21,500/per year I) All part-time employees - prevailing legal minimum wage per hour to $4.00 per hour. SECTION 4. On the effective date of this Ordinance, all employees will receive compensation at the rate determined by the Mayor and Village Administrator. All future increases may be granted on the judgement and discretion of the Mayor and Village Administrator and within the designated ranges in SECTION 3. [) SECTION 5. When the Mayor or Administrator establishes a rate for a new employee in the designated ranges, said new employee wil I remain at said rate for a period of one year. This one year shall be the probationary period. SECTION 6. All salaried employees of the Village shall receive one (I) full day's time off with pay for the following holidays; New Years Day; Memorial Day; 4th of July; Labor Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving; and Christmas. In the event said holiday should ! occur on an employees regularly scheduled day bff, the said emp- loyee shall be entitled to compensatory time off, with pay, provI- ded the employee coordinates said time off with said employee's supervisor. .",V,,,!". . ,-.-- -""" RECORD OF ORDINANCES . . . . . . . All salaried employees shall be entitled to a s~k leave with pay, such leave, however, shall not exceed a period of () time equivalent to one and one-half (Ii) days multiplied by the number of months of said employees service to the Village up to a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days. Sick leave for a per- iod of longer than 2 consecutive days shall not be allowed unless the employee furnishe. the Village with a physicians statement verifying said sickness. SECTION 8. All salaried employees shall receive an annual vaca- tion with pay based on the following schedule: YEARS OF SERVICE VACATION After I yr. and thru 9 yrs. 2 weeks After 10 and thru 19 yrs. 3 weeks After 20 yrs. and over 4 weeks Vacations must be taken within 12 months following accrual, and approval of the time the vacation is to be taken must be approved and authorized by the Mayor or Administrator. If not so taken, the employee will be deemed to have waived his vacation time, pro- vided however, the Mayor or Village Administrator may, under un- usual circumstances, approve an extension of the aforesaid 12 mont I i m i tat ion. ~ SECTION 9. The Clerk-Treasurer shall in further consideration of their services to the Village, pay the full premium of a basic medical and hospitalization insurance policy for the benefit of all salaried employees. SECTION 10. All salaried employees shall be paid in semi-monthly installments on the ~ifteenth and last day of each month. SECTION II. The employment of all salaried employees shall ter- minate on their 65th birthday, or on such other date as establish- ed by law unless earlier terminated by disability, resignation, removal, death or failure to pass a required p~ysical examination. At the discretion of the Mayor, with approval by a majority of Council, a Village employees employment can be extended beyond said 65th birthday. SECTION 12. All prior Resolutions or Ordinances or parts thereof that are inconsistent with this Ordinance are, hereby, superseded by this Ordinance. SECT I ON 13..L This Ordinance will take effect and be in force from [J and after the earliest period allowed by law.
