ORDINANCE NO. t '{,. '7~, VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE
INSTA LLA TION OF SCHOOL FLASHER SIGNS; AUTHORIZING \
THE MA YOR AND CLERK- TREASURER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

i ; WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance IS"-1V, bids have been

\ --' received for the installation of school flasher signs in the Village; and

WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Pence Electric
Co. in the amount of Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fif~y-Nine and 95/100
Dollars ($2,859.95) is the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village
of Dublin, State of Ohio, S- of the elected members concurring: '
SECTION 1. That the bid of Pence Electric Co. for the installation
of school flasher signs, including all labor and materials and equipment
necessary in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the
; Village,IEngineer and presently on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer,

\ , be and it hereby is accepted.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor and the Clerk~Treasurer be, and they
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract in the name of the
Village with the said Pence Electric Co. for the installation of school flasher
signs, including all labor and material and equipment necessary in accordance
with the plans and specifications prepared by the Village Engineer and

presently on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, and in accordance with
said bid of Pence Electric Co., upon receipt of notification from the Board of
County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, that money has been allocate
to pay the construction costs, including the contract price in the amount of

Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty:Nine and 95/100 Dollars ($2,859.95), the

'"\' .,I cost of preparation of preliminary and detail plans and specifications in the

amount of Six Hundred Ninety-Nine and 49/100 Dollars ($699.49), and the
estimated engineering supervision and inspection in the amount of One
Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($1,500.00) and that the Board of'
County Commissioners have encumbered the monies necessary to pay all
of these items.

SECTION 3. That the Clerk-Treasurer be. and he hereby is.
directed to notify the Auditor of Franklin County. Ohio. when work on the
project has commenced.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance be. and the same hereby is. I

declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate
!
\ preservation of the public safety for the reason that school flasher signs are
\ -
\ ,; presently needed to protect the safety of the residents of the Village; and
