A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BED FOR THE DARREE FIELDS WATER
TANK PHASE 2 INTERIOR BUILD -OUT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter for the Darree Fields Water
Tank Phase 2 Interior Build -out Project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the base bid submitted by R.W. Setterlin
Building Co. of $105,000.00 constitutes the lowest and best bid for the project; and
WHEREAS, this is an approved 2010 Capital Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, / of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1 . The bid submitted by R.W. Setterlin Building Co. in the amount of
$105,000.00 is hereby accepted.
Section 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for said
project as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the
Division of Parks and Open Space.
Section 3 . This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Re: Resolution 34 -10, Darree Fields Water Tank Phase 2 Interior Build -out
Background
On Thursday, July 29, 2010 bids were opened for the Darree Fields Water Tank Phase 2 Interior
Build -out Project. The funds for this project are included in the CIP budget in the amount of
$260,000. The base bid estimate for this project was $148,500.
Three (3) bids were received
Base Bid
R.W. Setterlin Building Cc $105,000.00
Janco LLC 5153,640.00
The Righter Company $150,700.00
This project consists of all materials and labor necessary for the construction of interior walls,
plumbing fixtures, lighting, suspended ceiling and other miscellaneous interior improvements.
Once construction is complete it will be used as a maintenance shop for Parks maintenance.
Complete construction details are available for review in the Council Planning room.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 34 -10, accepting R.W. Setterlin's base bid of
$105,000. R.W. Setterlin is currently under contract for the Emerald Fields Playground Project and
staff has found their work to be most satisfactory.
