'r AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE HOURS OF WORK, RATE OF PAY AND OTHER BmEFITS OF THE CHIEF QF POLICE OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN ~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio lo of the elected members concurring: SECTION 1, That the Chief of Police of the Village will be paid an annual salary beginning September 1, 1975 in accordance with the following schedule: 0 1 3 5 7 9 11 yi: . yr. yr. yr, yr. yr. yr. POLICE GIIEF 13200 13760 When the Chief of Police is confirmed by Council, Council may in the . ordinance confirming the appointment give credit to the Chief for prior service to another law enforcement agency. As used in the above schedule "years" shall mean years of service to the Village as a full time police officer plus credit for prior service to another law enforcement agency or prior part time service to the Village of Dublin. In such case the confir- mation ordinance shall state the number of years and/or months of prior service which shall be credited to the officer for purposes of determining ,..., his salary under the above schedule. LJ SECTION 2, That the Clerk-Treasurer shall in further consideration of his service to the Village, pay the full premium of a basic medical and hospitalization insurance policy for the benefit of the Police Chief. SECTION 3, That vacations with pay for the Police Chief \~ill be granted on the anniversary of hire, unless otherwise approved by the Mayor, Vacations must be taken within 12 months following accrual, unless other arrangements are made with the approval of the Mayor. Vacation periods shall be as follows: Two calendar weeks per year for one year through nine years of service, Three calendar weeks per year for ten years through nineteen years of service. Four calendar weeks per year after twenty years of service. . SECTION 4. The Chief of Police shall be paid in equal semimonthly installments on the fifteenth and last day of each montb.. SECTION 5.' -The Chief of Police shall further be entitled to sick leave with pay, but not to exceed one and one-half days times the number of months of his service to the Village; provided, however, that said Chief of Police may accumulate unused sick leave up to a maximum of one hundred-twenty (120) days. Sick leave shall not be allowed for a period r: of three (3) days or more days unless the Chief furnishes a satisfactory statement signed by a physician showing that due to injury or illness the \i.i Chief was not able to perform his duties on the days in question; provided, however, that the Mayor, in his sole discretion, may require such a statement in any case in which he deems it advisable.
