AN ORDINANCE EMPLOYING A SOLICITOR AND SETTING
THE COMPENSATION.
[~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
SECTION I. That the firm of Smith and Gunner, Attorneys-at-Law,
be and hereby is, employed as Village Solicitor for the Village
of Dublin, Ohio for the period June I, 1979 through June' I, 1981j
provided that either party hereto may, on thirty (30) days notic4 ,
cancel this agreement. In performing the duties of Solicitor,
Smith and Gunner, Attorneys-at-Law, may be assisted by the legal
services of other law firms of their choosing as it may from tim.
to time become necessary and/or desirable so as to fulfull the
duties and responsibilities of Solicitor to the fullest and most
competent extent.
SECTION 2. Per Exhibit "A" attached, which is hereby made en
official part of this Ordinance, said Solicitor shall be paid in
the following manner: FOR REGULAR SERVICES a Monthly Gross Re-
tainer of $1,100.00. FOR IRREGULAR SERVICES said Solicitor shal
be paid at the rate of $35.00 per hour. Said Solicitor shall bi I
the Village of Dublin monthly and said billing shall conform to
C the format included in Exhibit "A" attached.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect at the earliel t
period allowed by law.

"REGULAR SERVICES" required of Solicitor:
A. Physical presence at 24 Council meetings.
Physical presence at 12 Planning & Zoning Commission meetings,
D IF requested by Chairperson.
Physical presence at 24 Mayor's Courts.
Physical presence at 12 other NON-Specified meetings with Council,
P&Z and other Boards or Committees.
B. Render legal opinions to individual Village Officials, in writing,
so as to be available to others, if requested.
C. Review and approve ,all Contracts and Ordinances.
D. Conduct a reasonable number of conferences with Village Officials.
,IRREGULAR or CONTINGENT SERVICES required of Sol icitor.
A. Attendance at additional meetings not specified under REGULAR SER-
VICES.
B. Preparation of Ordinances and Resolutions, IF requested.
