AN ORDINANCE EMPLOYING A RECREATION DIRECTOR,
SETTING COMPENSATION AND DECLARING AN EMER-
e GENCY.
WHEREAS, the 1979 Appropriations include appropriations for a
Recreation Department, and
WHEREAS, said appropriations provide for the employment of a part
time Recreation Director, and
WHEREAS, said position was advertised, applications accepted and
the Parks and Recreation Committee is now ready to recommend an
appo i ntment:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Counci I of the Vii lage of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
SECTION I . That Charles Speer be, and he hereby IS, employed as
a part-time Recreation Director of the Vi I lage of Dubl in, Ohio
and for such services said Charles Speer shal I be paid at the
rate of $6.00 per hour. Total annu.al hours worked shal I not ex-
ceed the number of hours delineated in the 1979 appropriations,

( SECTION 2. The duties of said part-time Recreation Director
sha II be (but not necessari Iy I imited to) the General Statement
of duties attached hereto marked as Exhibit A and hereby made an
official part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance be, and hereby IS, declared to be
an emergency measure necessary for the publ ic peace, health and
safety and for the further reason that there I s an immediate need
to start formulating 1979 Recreation and Special Events planning
therefore, this Ordinance shal I take effect and be in force Im-
mediately upon its passage.

Schedule all Recreational and Special Events Act-
ivities of the Vii lage of Dubl in, Ohio
Correlate and schedule the use of al I V i I I age owned
Tennis Courts, Ball-Diamonds, etc. and, if agreed to
by the Dubl in School Officials, schedule their reso-
urces, also.
Be in charge of Parks Maintenance and the Personne II
and equipment involved.
Special Events sha II include July 4th celebration act-
ivities, etc.
Make recommendati~ns to the Parks and Recreation Comm-
ittee regarding additional personne II and equipment re-
quired to accompl ish Recreational Programs and Parks
maintenance.
r-., NOTE: Hours required wi I I be on a "Seasonal" basis
with more hours required in the Summer Rec-
, reation period, than in the other months of
