Ohio, - r I I for the housing of prisoners. '- -' Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Dublin ~ members present herein concurring: SECTION I. Council finds that the Village of Dublin has no facilities for the confinement of prisoners and finds that it is in need of a contract for the housing of said prisoners. SECTION II. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, and the Sheriff . of Franklin County.. Ohio. Said contract to provide the following: ;; 1. That said Sheriff of Franklin County from and after the 4th day . , I of March, 1963 until this contract is terminated.. as hereinafter provided, I ~ , will receive, safely keep. board, and maintain, under the following conditions, all prisoners held in the Franklin County Jail on charges of violating a municipal ordinance of the Village of Dublin and all prisoners sentenced to the Franklin County Jail upon conviction of a violation of any such municipal ordinance of the Village of Dublin for which said party of the second part shall pay to the said Board of County Commissioners of Franklin- County, Ohio, or their successors in office.. for every person ., so held or sentenced, at the rate of $2.50 per day during said confinement, ~ \ subject to the rules, regulations and discipline of said Franklin County V Jail, the same as other prisoners therein detained. 1""""\ ~ 2. All expenses of transporting prisoners, including their return I to the place from where they were sentenced and including the expense of retaking prisoners who may violate any parole when such parole is granted with the consent of the sentencing tribunal shall be paid in all cases by the party of the second part. 3. No person under eighteen years of age shall be received. - - - -- -- -- --- - --- --- - -- - - - - fl. . "1 4. All reasonable and necessary expense incurred by the parties , ' '\ of the first part in any habeas corpus proceedings for or against any such , r'" prisoner shall be paid by said party of the second part. unless otherwise '1 . l _ paid. 5. In the event of the illness or injury of any such prisoner. requiring hospitalization or special treatment or other expense. or in the event of any other occurrence causing extra expense to the parties of the first part. in connection with any of such prisoners. not herein pro- vided for. all such extra expense shall be paid by the party of the second part. 6. At the end of each month. itemized statements showing the J amount due from the party' ,of the second part on account of each prisoner . under this contract shall be forwarded or presented to said party of the r , second part. certified by the Sheriff of Franklin County or other proper l.. authority. and if found correct shall be paid within sixty days to the said Board of County Commissioners. 7. Either party to this contract may terminate the same. except as to prisoners already received. by giving sixty (60) days notice in writing to the ot her party. SECTION III. That this ordinance be. and the same hereby is. declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the public safety. health and general welfare of the Village of Dublin.
