I W for the housing of prisoners. Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Dublin, ~ member present herein concurring: SECTION I. Council finds that the Village of Dublin has no facilities I for the confinement of prisoners and finds that it is in need of a contract for the housing of said prisoners. SECTION II. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of Dublin, Ohio, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, and the Sheriff of Franklin County, Ohio. Said contract to provide the following: , W 1. That said Sheriff of Franklin County from and after the 6th day of February , 1962, until this contract is termim ted, as hereinafter provided. will receive. safely keep, board. and maintain. under the following conditions. all prisoners held in the Franklin County Jail on charges of violating a muni- cipal ordinance of the Village of Dublin and all prisoners sentenced to the Franklin County Jail upon conviction of a violation of any such municipal ordinance of the Village of Dublin for which said party of the second part shall pay to the said Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County. Ohio. or their successors in office. for every person so held or sentenced. at the rate of $2,50 per day during said confinement. subject to the rules, D regulations and discipline of s4id Franklin County Jail, the same as other prisoners therein detained. 2, All expenses of transporting prisoners, including their return to the place from where they were sentenced and including the expense of retaking prisoners who may violate any parole when such parole is granted with the consent of the sentencing tribunal shall be paid in all cases by the par ty of the second part, , 3. No person under eighteen years of age shall be received. - --- -- A . 4. All reasonable and necessary expense incurred by the parties of he first part in any habeas corpus proceedings for or against any such prisone '\ shall be paid by said party of the second part, ;unless otherwise paid. I .. 5. In the event of the illness or injury of any such prisoner, re- quiring hospitalization or special treatment or other expense, or in the event of any other occurrence causing extra expense to the parties of the first part, "n connection with any of such prisoners, not herein provided for, all such extra expense shall be paid by the party of the second part. 6. At the end of each month, itemized statements showing the amount due from the party of the second part on account of each prisoner under this contract shall be forwarded or presented to said party of the second part, certified by the Sheriff of Franklin County or other proper authority, and if found correct shall be paid within sixty days to the said Board of " County Commissioners. I . 7. Either party to this contract may terminate the same, except s to prisoners already received, by giving sixty (60) days notice in writing 11:0 the other party. SECTION III.
