ORDINANCE NO. ~3..7 3 , VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF
JOSHUA MEEK VANCE AS A POLICEMAN OF THE
VILLAGE FOR A PROBATIONARY PERIOD OF SIX
MONTHS; SETTING HIS COMPENSATION; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

r WHEREAS. the Mayor has appointed Joshua Meek Vance as Policeman
'-' of the Village for a probationary period of six months; and
WHEREAS. Council is of the opinion that the said Joshua M,eek Vance
is a suitable person for such appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin. State of Ohio. --'-- of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the appointment by the Mayor of Joshua Meek
Vance as a policeman of the Village of Dublin. Ohio. for a probationary
period of six months be. and it hereby is. confirmed.
SECTION 2. That the said Joshua Meek Vance shall be paid in
accordance with Ordinance No. 16-73 of the Village of Dublin. Ohio.

1:< l('.,: SECTION 3. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 16-73 of the Village

'.3\ of Dublin. the said Joshua Meek Vance, shall be given three (3) years credit

\ for prior service as a policeman of other law enforcement agencies; and that

he shall be credited with three (3) years service in determining his rate of
pay. /'
SECTION 4. That this ordinance be. and the same hereby is. declar d
to be an emergency measUre necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace and safety for the reason that the Village has an immediate need
for an additional full-time policeman and that this ordinance shall take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage.
