AN ORDINANCE RAISING THE COMPENSATION OF SERGEANT DONAlD HUGHES, POLICEMAN
~ OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
r.. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, 5'
i of the eleoted members conourring; -
......., SECTION 1. That from and after January 1, 1973, sergeant Dcnald Hughes shall
be paid a salary of . 7,560.00 per year for performing duties as a Polioeman
of the Village.
SECTION 2. That the Clerk-Treasurer shall pay the saiel Sergeant Donald Hughes
said salary in equal semi-monthly installments on the fifteenth and the laa1';
day of eaoh month.
SECTION 3. That in addition to the sum speoified in seotien 1. above, the
Clerk-Treasurer shall in further oonsideration of his servioes to the Village,
pay the full premium of a basic medical and hospitalization insuranoe policry
for the benefit of the said Sergeant Donald Hughes as agreed upon by the Mayor.
SECTION 4. That the said Sergeant Hughes shall be subjeot to oan 24 hours a
day, and that his mimimumwork week shall be 48 hours per week.
SECTION 5. That the said Sergeant Donald Hughes shall have a Taoation,two(2)
weeks per year,at full salary, at suoh time as the Chief of Polioe and the
Mayor may direct.
SECTION 6. That the said Sergeant Hughes 8'hall further be entitled to siok
leave with pay, but not to exceed one and one-half days times the number of
months of his service to the Village and his right to siok leave with pay

shall nct aocumulate beyond a twelve month period.
... SECTION 7. That the said sergeant Hughes shall perform his duties as a Polioema~
under the direotion of the Chief of Police and the Mayor.
SECTION 8. That this ordinance shall superoede the previous ordinanoe setting
the compensation of Donald Hughes as a Polioeman of the Village, and all pro-
visions of said previous ordinance inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 9. That this ordinanoe be and the same hereby is deolared to be an
emergency measure neoessary for the immediate preservation of the publio peaoe
and safety for the reason that it is neoessary in order to maintain and improve
the polioe proteotion of the Village, and that this ordinanee shall take effect
January 1, 1973.
