36-72 Ordinance " ~ JIo-72. ORDINANCE NO, , VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO AN ORDINANCE REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE SA LE TO THE VILLAGE OF A NEW DUMP TRUCK; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A NEW DUMP TRUCK AND TO ENTER INTO A WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER AFTER ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. l3/J -- 7,1~ , bids have been received for the sale to the Village of a new dump truck; and WHEREAS, Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the Village to reject all bids received, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, Cl,{{ of the elected members concurring: SECTION 1. That all of the bids previously received for the sale to the Village of a new dump truck be, and they hereby are, rejected. SECTION 2. That the Village Administrator be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to advertise for bids for a new dump truck, cab and chassis, with dump body, to be used with front-mounted snow plow and rear-mounted spreader, having the specifications contained in Ordinance No. of the Village of Dublin, Ohio. The Village Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for such bids for not less than two or more than four consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general i I circulation within the Village. The bids shall be opened by the Village , i Administrator at 12 :00 Noon on the last day for filing bids, and shall be i I i publicly read by him. The Village Administrator is further authorized and I , I , , directed to thereafter make a written contract with the lowest and best bidderl. ! I I I I Such contract shall be executed in the name of the Village and shall be signed I i I by the Village Administrator and the Clerk-Treasurer. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, \ i 1 I declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate I ; I preservation of the public health and safety for the reason that a new dump I I ! truck is presently needed to protect the health and safety of the residents l i I ! .. of the Village; and that this ordinance shall take effect and be in force . immediately upon its passage.
