ORDINANCE NO. 2/~72, VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO !

AN ORDINANCE SUPPORTING THE ACTION OF THE CENTRA L !
OHIO MA YORS' AND MUNICIPA L OFFICIA LS' COUNCIL IN I
OBTAINING A UNIFORM GAS RATE; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR I
AND CLERK-TREASURER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO I
PAY DUBLIN'S PROPORTIONATE SHARE NOT EXCEEDING ,
\ $200.00 FOR LEGAL FEES TO ACHIEVE THIS; AND AUTHORIZING I
I THE CLERK-TREASURER TO PAY AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED II
$200.00 FOR SUCH EXPENSE

, WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Dublin has by resolution I

I requested a uniform gas rate within Franklin County, Ohio; and I
I I
Ii WHEREAS, since that time the Franklin County Mayors' Council, now I
II known as the Central Ohio Mayors' and Municipal Officials' Council, has
I
I advised the Council of the Village of Dublin that legal expenses will have to be
i incur red in order to secure a uniform gas rate; and !
i
1 WHEREA S, the Council of the Village of Dublin is of the opinion that
the legal expenses for supporting this effort should be borne proportionately
by the municipalities according to the users involved,
I NOW, THEREFOR~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village

of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: I

I SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, directed I
1 to notify the Central Ohio Mayors' and Municipal Officials' Council that the ,I
Council of the Village of Dublin supports the action of the Central Ohio Mayors ,I
I
and Municipal Officials' Council in working to establish a uniform gas rate in I
Franklin County. I
I
I
I SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer be, and they!

hereby are authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the Village of I
Dublin to pay Dublin's proportionate share according to the users involved for !
I
legal fees to achieve this uniform rate for the Franklin County area when 1
I
I
requested to do so by the Central Ohio Mayors' and Municipal Officials' I
!

Council in an amount not to exceed $200.00.

l SECTION 3. That the Clerk-Treasurer be, and he hereby is, I

I authorized to pay Dublin's proportionate share for legal fees and expenses as I
II set forth in Section 2 of this ordinance from the Contingency Fund, and such I
