WHEREAS, Mr. L. E. THORNTON has faithfully served on the City
of Dublin Council for approximately six years and has also served
on other Committees; and
WHEREAS, MR. THORNTON has worked to make this City a better
place to live and to work, specifically with regard to his concerns
for the betterment of 01d Dublin by strongly recommending that
"appropriate amenities" be made available to visitors; by expressing
concern on numerous occasions with regard to the pump station;
and by conducting his own traffic counts at intersections which
were of concern to him.
WHEREAS, ED THORNTON has also served his community by actively
participating in civic organizations as well as in specific
community activities such as the St. Patrick's Day Activities,
the Fourth of July Celebration, and the Dublin Kiwanis Frog
Jump.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, that by this Resolution, said Council
and City expresses its sincere thanks and best wishes for the
future to MR. L. E. THORNTON.
