A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE LAW DIRECTOR'S
EXISTING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has previously entered into an agreement with
Stephen J. Smith/Schottenstein Zox & Dunn for legal services, and the current
contract expires on May 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City is conducting a review of the delivery of legal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~~ of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the existing contract for
the Law Director, which expires on May 31, 2009, on a month-to-month basis.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Attached is legislation authorizing the extension of the current contract with Stephen J.
Smith/Schottenstein Zox & Dunn for legal services. The current contract expires on May 31,
2009. This authorization extends the contract on a month-to-month basis while the City
conducts a review of the delivery of legal services.
Recommendation
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 21-09, authorizing the City Manager to execute the
contract extension with Stephen J. Smith/Schottenstein Zox & Dunn for legal services.
