A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE 2006RIGHT-OF-WAY LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 for
the 2006 Right-of--Way Landscape Installation Project, Council has determined that
the base bid submitted by Top Seed Lawn Management in the amount of $79,830 is
the lowest and best bid; and
WHEREAS, this project is an approved 2006 Capital Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ~_ of the elected members concumng that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Top Seed Lawn Management in the amount of $79,830
for the 2006 Right-of--Way Landscape Installation Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on
file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

RE: Resolution 06-06, 2006 Right-of--Way Landscape Installation Project
Summary:
On Tuesday, January 17, 2006 bids were opened for the 2006 Right-of--Way Landscape
Installation Project. The funds for this project are included in the 2006 Operating Budget in the
approximate amount of $100,430. The bid estimate is $90,000.
Six (6) bids were received for this project:
1). Miller Pavement
2). TruGreen Chemlawn
3). Brookside Lawn Service, Inc.
4). Top Seed Lawn Management
5). Rhoads Landscaping
6). GreenScapes Landscape Co.

This project consists of the installation of plants within existing beds in various areas of rights
of way throughout the City of Dublin.
Top Seed Lawn Management has assured us they are confident in their bid and will comply
with all the terms of the contract.
We have completed references for Top Seed Lawn Management and found their references to
be satisfactory.
Recommendation:
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 06-06 accepting Top Seed Lawn Management's
base bid in the amount of $79,830.
