A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE NORTH LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter for the North
Landscape Maintenance Project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the base bid submitted by Rocky
Fork Company in the amount of $268,800.00 constitutes the lowest and best
bid; and
WHEREAS, this is an approved 2009 Operating Budget project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The base bid submitted by Rocky Fork Company in the amount of
$268,800.00 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for
said project as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents
on file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

Summary
RE: Resolution 01-09, North Landscape Maintenance Project
Memo
On Wednesday, December 3, 2008, bids were opened for the North Landscape Maintenance
Project. The funds for this project are included in the 2009 Operating Budget in the approximate
amount of $270,000.00. The base bid estimate for this project was $270,000.00.

This project consists of the weeding, mulching, bed edging, spraying pre-emergent and plant
maintenance, mowing, fertilizing and broadleaf weed control of right of ways, medians and green
spaces throughout the City of Dublin. The lower bidder, Rocky Fork Company, is confident in
their bid has stated their commitment to adhering to the scope of the contract.
Parks & Open Space Staff has completed references for Rocky Fork Company and has found their
references to be satisfactory.
Recommendation
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 01-09 accepting Rocky Fork Company's base bid of
$268,800.00.
