CODE ISSLIES: ConhacWc will not be responsible for any areas of the home thaz were existing or not contracted for if they do not mee[ cutrent codes. Once inspec- tors are on the job they may point out other areas of the home that do not meet cuaent code. If flus happens it is the Owner's tesponsibility to correc[ these issues so that a finai approval can be given. In this event the Owner agrees not to hold up eny payments to Conhactor while these other issues are resolved. 15. WATERPROOFING AND WATER DAMAGE: Contractor does not apply any damp-proofing or wateo-proofing of any kind. It is the cusmmer's responsi- bility to make sure any needed sealants are applied prior to contractor starting work. ConVacWr is not tesponsible for any weter damage unless it was caused solely by the negligence of Conaactor. 16. ALARM SYSTEMS: Contractor will try to work azound existing alarm systems es best we cen. There may be situations where the Owner may need to contact the'v alatm company to rewire or reinstall systems that were affected by t6e retnodel project.
