A summary of the work performed is submitted herewith for your records On July 5, 2007, BBCl+irl observed that the garage, crawlspace and basement footing excavations were completed and terminated at plan grade. The soil observed in the garage and crawlspace footing excavations consisted of very-stiff to hard cohesive fill with hand-penetrometer readings ranging from 3.5 to 4.5± tons per square foot (tsf). The soils observed in the bottom of the basement footing excavations consisted of stiff to hard natural cohesive soil. Band penetrometer readings in the basement footing excavations ranged from 1.5 to 4.5+ tons per square foot. Based on our field observations, the bearing conditions observed are expected to provide adequate support for the proposed resid atstructure Our conclusions are based on the assumption that sail conditions with, depth are as good or better than those observed at the bottom surface of the excavation.
