Re: Heel height of new 2 x 12 rafters
I visited the site and pleasured vertically the height of the 2 x 12 rafters from the top of
the plate to the underside of the sheathing to be 7". This measurement was taken in lithe
with the inside face of the wall studs.
I reviewed this condition with the project's structural engineer and we have concluded the
2 x 12 rafters as installed do not compromise the structural design of the roof.
