The review was based upon the following criteria: Use Group: B, Business office building shell. Occupancy: No Change Area: 99,268 SF Total Building Const. Type: IIB, Noncombustible - Unprotected Notes: New building is a new Medical Office Building Shell space for future Tenant spaces. Systems include an automatic fire suppression system throughout the building with wet-type standpipe systems and fire pump with associated jockey pump and controller. The Automatic Fire Suppression Drawings are signed and certified by Konley, Ohio Certification #A-154 with NICET Level IV #79357. The Fire Protection Contractor is S.A. Comunale, Ohio Certification #53- 77-1016 and the Installer has been identified as Robert Barry, Ohio Certification #54-51-1018, all to comply with the requirements of OBC Section 106.3.4.1 and have been reviewed, therefore, in accord with OBC Section 106.3.1. This FIRE PROTECTION PLAN APPROVAL for the automatic fire suppression system only, is issued by the City of Dublin, Division of Building Standards, in accordance with Section 106.3.1.1 OBC. For the information of the Applicant the following item(v) are required for code compliance, but are not necessarily covered in detail in the construction documents This list is a reminder to the design professional and contractors of issues which are to be satisfactorily dealt with in the field: 1. A set of construction documents which have been approved under section 105 of the OBC shall be kept at the site of the work and shall be available for reference by the building official at all times during working hours while such work is in progress; Section 109 OBC. 2. The owner and the contractor shall, so far as possible, preserve and keep said certificate until the completion of the work to which the approved construction documents relate; Section 105.7.2 OBC. 3. Sprinkler piping, feed mains, cross mains and/or branch lines shall not reduce the clear ceiling heights as required for occupiable spaces, habitable spaces, and corridors, as required in Section 1207.2 OBC. 4. OBC 901.5 Acceptance tests: All fire protection systems shall be tested in accordance with the requirements of this code and the fire prevention code. When required, the tests shall be conducted in the presence of the code official. All tests required by this code and the standards listed in this code shall be conducted at the expense of the owner or the owner's representative. It shall be unlawful to occupy portions of a structure until the required fire protection systems within that portion of the structure have been tested and approved. 5. OBC 903.5 Acceptance tests: Sprinkler systems shall be tested and maintained in accordance with the Fire Code. 6. OBC 905 Standpipe Systems: Standpipe hose connections and cabinets shall comply with the pertinent sub-sections as listed in this code section. 7. NFPA 13, 10-2 Acceptance Requirements. The underground mains, lead-in and system riser shall be completely flushed before connection is made to the sprinkler piping and the system shall be hydrostatically tested in accordance with Section 10-2.1, NFPA 13.
