CORRECTION LETTER The following item(s) shall be brought into full conformance with the 2007 OBC prior to the issuance of final plan approval. 1. OBC 106.1.1 Information on construction documents. Because the construction documents do not have enough information for a complete plan review, this correction letter is a request for missing information and contains a review only of the items submitted. A complete review will be performed upon receipt of the required information. This may result in additional items not contained in this correction letter; Section 106 OBC. Submit the following minimum information for review: 1.1 The floor plan shows a visual alarm notification appliance to be located in the `ATM Room, " while not providing such a device within the `common use' Break Room. Please verify the placement of this device. 2. OMC-606.2.1 Return air systems. Smoke detectors shall be installed in return air systems with a design capacity greater than 2,000 cfm, in the return air duct or plenum upstream of any filters, exhaust air connections, outdoor air connections, or decontamination equipment and appliances. Exception: Smoke detectors are not required in the return air system where the space served by the air distribution system is protected by a system of area smoke detectors in accordance with the building code. The area smoke detector system shall comply with Section 606.4. Please verb with the Manufacturer's requirements, that the spacing between smoke detectors shown on Sheet E-102 of the Architectural set of drawings and the devices located on this Fire Alarm Plan are within the instructions and listing for the particular make and model of the smoke detector's printed literature. Currently, the spacing shown between the Teller and Waiting area devices do exceed the Manufacturer's requirements for spacing ofsuch devices. Reference spacing requirements shown on the specification cut-sheets provided, for our review. This review does not preclude the necessity to conform with provisions which may have been omitted or overlooked in the review process, but which are requirements of the code. Ultimate responsibility for legal compliance with the Standards of Safety rest with the registered design professional, the tenant and the owner. Plan Approval will be valid only upon receipt by the City of Dublin, Division of Building Standards, of one signed copy of this addendum.
