BUILDING DIVISION
CITY OF: DUBLIN
Dear Jeff,
The following are responses to the attached plan review comments for Permit # 07-201641,
Little Clinic (Kroger) 7100 Hospital Drive:
1) Battery calculations have been included with the drawings.
2) Existing detection and notification devices located in and near the existing Pharmacy are
depicted on a separate page includes with the drawings.
3) The reason for the ceiling-mounted horn/strobe: To keep the Little Clinic configuration
the same with all the other ones installed in various stores (in other words, Customer's
request). The proposed ceiling-mounted device is the same as others already installed
inside this store. The ceiling-mounted device meets the visibility requirements of NFPA-
72 and the ADAAG, and will be installed in accordance with NFPA-72 table 7.5.4.3.1(b)
(attached to this letter). If this is a problem, we can install a wall-mounted device with
the same ratings, current draw, etc. (Model # P2R).
3a) The horn/strobe will have a 110 candela rating. (Spec sheet with candela rating circled
is attached to the drawings).
I hope this is helpful. If you have any questions, please give me a call.

pattern. These options are set by a multiple position switch. On four-wire products, the strobe shall be powered independently of the sounder. The horn on
horn/strobe models shall operate on a coded or non-coded power supply.
Outdoor Products
SpectrAlert Advance outdoor horns, strobes and horn/strobes shall be listed for outdoor use by UL and shall operate between minus 40 degrees and 151
degrees Fahrenheit. The products shall be listed for use with a System Sensor outdoor/weatherproof back box with hall inch and three-fourths inch conduit
entries.
Synchronization Module
The module shall be a System Sensor Sync-Circuit model MDL listed to UL 464 and shall be approved for fire protective service. The module shall synchronize
SpectrAlert strobes at 1 Hz and horns at temporal three. Also, while operating the strobes, the module shall silence the horns on horn/strobe models over a
single pair of wires. The module shall mount to a 411/. x 4111. x 21/s-inch back box. The module shall also control two StyleY (class B) circuits or one Style Z
(class A) circuit. The module shall synchronize multiple zones. Daisy chaining two or more synchronization modules together will synchronize all the zones they
control. The module shall not operate on a coded power supply.
