72-07 ResolutionRECORD OF RESOLUTIONS 1 [; No ~2-07 Resolution No. Passed 20 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DELAWARE, FRANKLIN AND UNION COUNTY AUDITORS TO DRAW AND THE DELAWARE, FRANKLIN AND UNION COUNTY TREASURERS TO ISSUE A DRAFT TO THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN FOR ANY MONEY THAT MAY BE IN THE COUNTY TREASURY TO THE ACCOUNT OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN WHEREAS, Section 321.34 of the Ohio Revised Code allows local authorities by resolution to request an advance of taxes collected to the accounts of such local authorities. NOW, TH FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That pursuant to Section 321.34 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Council of the City of Dublin hereby requests that the Delaware, Franklin and Union County Auditors draw and the Delaware, Franklin and Union County Treasurers issue a draft to the Director of Finance of the City of Dublin, for any money that may be in the Delaware, Franklin and Union County Treasuries to the account of the City of Dublin, and lawfully applicable to fiscal year 2008. Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and hereby is directed to file this resolution with the Delaware, Franklin and Union County Auditors, together with any applications for documentation necessary or incidental thereto. Grigsby, Deputy City Manager/Director of Finance Re: Resolution No. 72-07, Authorizing Requests for Property Taxes Collected Summary: Resolution No. 72-07 allows the Director of Finance, with approval of the City Manager, to request advances of property tax collections during calendar year 2008. This allows the City to receive funds prior to the established distribution dates and results in additional interest income earned by the City. Union County has been added for 2008 based on the development that has occurred in the Union County portion of the City. Recommendation: It is recommended that Resolution No. 72-07 be passed at the December 10, 2007 City Council meeting.
