A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING
THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE
2019 STORM STRUCTURE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter and Chapter 37 of
the Dublin Code, for the 2019 Storm Structure Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Community Plan states an objective to provide safe
and efficient collection of stormwater; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Columbus
Asphalt Paving, Inc. constitutes the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of its elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Columbus Asphalt Paving, Inc. in the total
amount of $145,519.00 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts
with Columbus Asphalt Paving, Inc. for performance and completion of the
2019 Storm Structure Maintenance Program pursuant to the Advertisement,
Proposal and Contract Documents for said project on file in the office of the
City Engineer.
Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City
Manager, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or
other appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements
and instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to
implement this Resolution and complete the Project.
Section 4. This Resolution shill take effect upon passage in accordance
with Section 4.04(a) of the Revd Charter.

2019 Storm Structure Maintenance Program — Bid Acceptance
The Engineer"s Estimate for this project is $166,000. The funds budgeted for this program are
$260,000, from the Annual Stormwater Maintenance capital funds ($575,000 in AF191 for
2019). The remaining $315',000 are allocated for the 2019 Stormwater Maintenance Program
which is already under contract for 2019.
Columbus Asphalt Paving, Inc. submitted the lowest and best bid of $145,519.00. Staff has
reviewed all bids and a summary of the bids is listed below.

This 2019 Storm Structure Maintenance Program will commence in October and is expected to
be complete by November 30, 2019. A map is attached showing the work locations in various
areas throughout the City. Staff will ensure that appropriate traffic control and site restoration
are performed as necessary,
Staff has reviewed the bid submitted by Columbus Asphalt Paving,, Inc. and determined it to be
a true and accurate cost to perform the specified work for this project. Previous experience
with Columbus Asphalt Paving, Inc. has been favorable, including these recent projects.,, 2018
