A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE WEST BRIDGE STREET LANDSCAPE
ENHANCEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter, for the West
Bridge Street Landscape Enhancement Project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the base bid in the amount of
$145,629.00 submitted by Brookside Construction Service is the lowest and
best bid; and
WHEREAS, this project was programmed in the 2019 CIP; and
WHEREAS, funding will be available in the Capital Improvements Tax Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, _7- of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The base bid in the amount of $145,629.00 submitted by
Brookside Construction Service is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract
for said project as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid
documents on file in the Department of Parks &Recreation.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section V4(a) of the Revised Charter.

Re: Resolution 19-19 - West Bridge Street Landscape Enhancement Project
Funding for the West Bridge Street Landscape Enhancement Project is included in the 2019 Capital
Improvement Program budget. On Wednesday, March 20, 2019 bids were opened for this project.
Four (4) bids were received with the lowest bid in the amount of $145,629,, which is below the
estimated amount of $233,617.00.

As you will recall, the details of this project were referred to the Community Development
Committee for review. With the favorable bids, staff will work with the contractor to add the

Attached is a map of the landscape enhancement locations (exhibit A). Also for your reference,
complete construction details are available for review at City Hall in the Council Planning room.
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 19-19, accepting the lowest and best bid by Brookside
Construction Service in the amount of $145,629.00. References have been verified by staff and
determined to be satisfactory.
