A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF DUBLIN CITY SCHOOLS
WHEREAS, a strong school district is vital to the economic well-being and future
success of the Dublin community; and
WHEREAS, the quality of the school district is an important factor in bringing new
businesses to our community, thus insuring stable property values and opportunities
for its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin City Schools continue to serve an important role in the
success of the Dublin community by attracting families and businesses who are
seeking quality education in the City; and
WHEREAS, the continued success of the Dublin Schools is important to the
continued success of this City in providing a sound education and better employment
opportunities to the future workforce.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
of its elected members concurring, that::
Section 1. An excellent school system is the backbone of our community.
Section 2. A strong school district attracts businesses, builds our workforce,
results in a strong economy and maintains our property values.
Section 3. The young people of our community are better prepared for their
future thanks to the outstanding education they receive through Dublin City Schools.
Section This Resolutio all take effect upon passage in accordance with
Sectio 4.04(a) of the Du n evised Charter.
