Resolution 024-18RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Dayton Legal Blank, Inc., Form No. 30045 Resolution No. 24-18 Pissed , zo A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE 2018 PARKING LOT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter and Chapter 37 of the Dublin Code, for the 2018 Parking Lot Maintenance Program; and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Chemcote, Inc. constitutes the lowest and best bid. NO , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, of its elected members concurring, that: Section 1. The bid submitted by Chemcote, Inc. in the total amount of $318,947.71 is hereby accepted. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with Chemcote, Inc. for performance and completion of the 2018 Parking Lot Maintenance Program pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal and Contract Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer. Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to implement this Ordinance and complete the Project. Resolution 24-18 — Bid Acceptance for 2018 Parking Lot Maintenance Program On April 5, 2018, four (4) bids were received, publicly opened, and read for the 2018 Parking Lot Maintenance Program. The Engineer"s estimate is $314,000. The attached map depicts which parking lots are in the program. A copy of the construction drawings has been placed in the Council Planning Room for your reference and review. The budgeted funds for the 2018 Parking Lot Maintenance Program in the 2018 Capital Improvement Program are $430,000 from account AT187, Annual Parking Lot Maintsem. nancj Chemcote, Inc. submitted the lowest and best bid of $318,947.71. Staff has thoroughly reviewed all bids and a summary of the bids is listed below. Recommendation Staff has thoroughly reviewed the bid submitted by Chemcote, Inc. While the City has not contracted directly with Chemcote, Inc. in the past several years, previous private subdivision roadway and private parking lot construction work in the City by Chemcote, Inc. has been performed to acceptable standards. Additionally, Chemcote has performed asphalt paving on numerous subdivision streets constructed within new residential developments that have then been accepted as public improvements by the City. Staff recommends Council approval of Resolution No. 24-18, accepting as lowest and best the bic of Chemcote, Inc. in the amount of $318,947.71 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Chemcote, Inc. for this project. a
