A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR
THE NORTH FORK SANITARY SEWER CAPACITY
IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter and Chapter 37 of the
Dublin Code, for the North Fork Sanitary Sewer Capacity Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the 2007 Community Plan states an objective to continue efforts to
remove inflow and infiltration sources within the existing sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 2017, four (4) bids were received for the North Fork
Sanitary Sewer Capacity Improvements; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Danbert, Inc.
constitutes the lowest and best bid.
[MOW,® THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
of its elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Danbert, Inc. in the total amount of $355,695.37
is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with
Danbert, Inc. for performance and completion of the North Fork Sanitary Sewer
Capacity Improvements pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal and Contract
Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer.
Section 3, This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager, the
Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other appropriate
officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and instruments and to
take any other actions as may be necessary to implement this Ordinance and
complete the Project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon passage in accordance with
Sect' 4.04(a) of the Revd Charter.

Improvements — Bid Acceptance
The Engineer's estimate for this project is $595,000-00. The estimate for the alternate design is
$815,000.00. The 2018 budgeted funds for construction of this project are $360,000 (ES111) from
the 2018 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) funds, (a portion of the $2,110,000.00 provided for
capital enhancements). Staff has reviewed all bids and has decided to proceed with the base bid
design.
Danbert, Inc. submitted the lowest and best base bid of $355,695.37, and also submitted th
lowest and best alternate bid at $699,899.74. A summary of the base bids received are listei
