The Sustainable2050 program is an effort to tie to MORPC's recent Regional Sustainability Agenda (attached), and to replace the Central Ohio Green Pact. Through the program, the individual actions of communities are benchmarked, their progress in achieving goals and objectives is tracked and, collectively, we will gain an understanding of how all the efforts make an impact on the quality of life in Central Ohio. The Sustainable2050 program will officially be launched at the MORK Summit on Sustainability on November 14, 2017. As a member of the Sustainable2050 program, the City of Dublin will have the opportunity to continue to be a leader in sustainability for the Central Ohio region. In addition to the City's leadership, we will also have the chance to be recognized by MORK at a variety of events, including their annual Summit on Sustainability. Most notably, Dublin will be able to share and benchmark data against the program's sustainability agenda, with other communities throughout the region. As part of the Sustainable2050 program, the City of Dublin will be asked to commit to the following: 1. Approve the Resolution of Commitment to the program. 2. Designate a staff member to participate in program meetings and to ensure public awareness and active participation in the program. 3. Share progress with MORK as it relates to the goals and objectives of the program. In addition to the MORK Sustainable2050 program, City staff has been working to create a comprehensive sustainability plan that will include alignment to the Regional Sustainability Agenda. As part of the development process, staff began meeting with and gathering feedback from the Community Services Advisory Commission (CSAC) in September, and will continue through early 2018. Once this process is completed, CSAC will bring the plan to City Council for review and approval.
