A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR THE 2017 STORM STRUCTURE
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter and Chapter 37 of the
Dublin Code, for the 201 -7 Storm Structure Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, the 2013 Community Plan states an objective to provide safe and
efficient collection of stormwater; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Strawser Paving
Company, Inc. constitutes the lowest and best bid.
NOVA,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, �' of its elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Strawser Paving Company, Inc. in the total
amount: of $16-1,508,,73 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with
Strawser Paving Company, Inc. for performance and completion of the 201'1
Storm Structure Maintenance Program pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal
and Contract Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer.
Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager,
the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other
appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and
instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to implement this
Ordinance and complete the Project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon passage in accordance with
Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

2017 Storm Structure Maintenance Program Acceptance
The 2017 budgeted funds for this project are $260,000 from the Capital Improvements Tax
Fund (a portion of the $560,000 provided for annual stormwater maintenance in 2017) and
represent a bid amount for labor and material costs to repair the deficiencies in Ill storm
structures identified during inspections.
Strawser Paving Company, Inc. provided the lowest and best bid of $161,508.73, Staff has
thoroughly reviewed all bids and a summary of the bids are listed below.
This 2017 Storm Structure Maintenance Program will commence in August and shall be
completed by October 3,. 2017. A map is attached showing the work locations in various areas
throughout the City. Staff will ensure that appropriate traffic control and site restoration is
done as necessary.
