Resolution 018-17RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Dayton Legal Blank, Inc., Form No. 30045 Resolution No. 18-17 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE 2017 SANITARY SEWER MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter and Chapter 37 of the Dublin Code, for the 2017 Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Program; and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Conie Construction, Inc. constitutes the lowest and best bid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, of its elected members concurring, that: Section 1: The bid submitted by Conie Construction, Inc. in the total amount of $1,610.00 is hereby accepted. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with Conie Construction, Inc. for the 2017 Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Program, pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal and Contract Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer. Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager, the Director or Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other appropriate officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and instruments and to take any other actions as may be necessary to implement this Resolution and complete the Project. Section 4. This Resolution shall be effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.04(x) of the Revised. Charter. Passed this day f � 2 17 Y 0 . Manhole inspection data and Closed Caption Television Videos (CCTV), now being collected by City staff, may provide justification for increasing the funds programmed in the future years beyond 2017. The City of Dublin has previous experience with Conie Construction, Inc. on similar projects with very positive results, most notably on the Ballantrae Section 9, 12-inch water main improvements (11-016-CIP), Fishel Drive 8-inch Water Main Extension (12-007-CIP). Currently,, Conie Construction, Inc. has an emergency water repair maintenance contract with City of Columbus Division of Power and Water. Star� recommends Council approval of Resolution 18-17, accepting as lowest and the best the NJ *f Conie Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,610.00 per unit hour and authorizing the Ci Manager to enter into a contract with Conie Construction, Inc. for this project.
