A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE RINGS ROAD SHARED -USE PATH PROJECT
WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted, pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Revised Charter and Chapter 37 of the
Dublin Code, for the Rings Road Shared-Use Path Project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Park Enterprise
Construction Company, Inc. constitutes the lowest and best bid.
NOW, T EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, of its elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Park Enterprise Construction Company, Inc. in the
total amount of $377,552.52 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with Park
Enterprise Construction Company, Inc. for performance and completion of the Rings
Road Shared -Use Path Project pursuant to the Advertisement, Proposal and Contract
Documents for said project on file in the office of the City Engineer.
Section 3. This Council further hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager, the
Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Clerk of Council, or other appropriate
officers of the City to prepare and sign all other agreements and instruments and to take
any other actions as may be necessary to implement this Ordinance and complete the
Project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon passage in accordance with Section
4.04(x) of the Revised ;charter.

On January 25, 2017, six (6) bids were received, publicly opened and read by Engineering staff
for the Rings Road Shared-Use Path project. This project involves the construction of 2,000
feet of 8-foot wide, shared-use path, and concrete combination curb and gutter the south side
if 17
of Rings Road between Frantz Road and Dublin Road.
The Engineer's estimate for this project is $430,000. The 2017-2021 Capital Improvement
Program (ET16G) budgets funds of $460,000 for this projectS

Staff recommends Council approval of Resolution 08-17 accepting as lowest and best the bid of
Park Enterprise Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $377,552.52 and authorizing the
City Manager to enter into a contract with Park Enterprise Construction Company, Inc. for this
project.
