AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE COSGRAY PARK SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Cosgray Park Sanitary Sewer
Connection project on Thursday, November 12, 1998, Council has determined that the base
bid submitted by Danbert Inc. in the amount of $63,700.00 is the lowest and best bid.
NOW, 'THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, t/y~` of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid for the Cosgray Park Sanitary Sewer Connection Project
submitted by Danbert Inc. in the amount of $63,700.00 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Danbert
Inc. for completion of the project, pursuant to the bid specifications and documents on file
with the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further
reason that the time frames for completion of the project require emergency action.
Therefore, the ordinance shall be effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.05 of
the Revised Charter.

Memo
On Wednesday November 12, 1998 bids were opened on Cosgray Road Park Sanitary Sewer Connection,
an approved 1998 expenditure.
The publicly announced bid was estimated at $80,000.00. Seven (7) bids were received.
1). Badger Excavating Inc. $76,780.00

3). Performance Site Management $99,250.00
4). Enviro Excavating Inc. $83,998.00
5). J. R. Mason, Inc. $69,605.00
6). Darby Creek Excavating Inc. $71,200.00
7). Danbert Inc. $63,700.00
This project consists of pump stations and sanitary force mains to serve the existing restrooms at Cosgray
Road Park (Darree Fields).
Staff is recommending acceptance of Danbert Inc.'s base bid of $63,700.00. The City of Dublin has worked
with Danbert Inc. in the past and has found their work to be satisfactory.
