RE: Facilities Painting Project
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, February 25, 2004 bids were opened for the Facilities Painting Project. The
budgeted amount for this project is $49,350.00, which is included in the 2004 Operating
Budget.
Seven (7) bids were received.
Base Bid
1). Harwood Painting $48,380.00
2). W.F. Bolin Company $42,750.00
3). Color Consultants LLC $57,680.00
4). ProXterior, Inc. $77,400.00
5). Quality Masonry Company, Inc. $122,100.00
6). Herron Painting, Inc. $42,400.00
7). Martin Painting & Coating Company $37,630.00
This project consists of interior and exterior painting and staining of various City owned
facilities.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending adoption of Ordinance no. 17-04, accepting Martin Painting & Coating
Company's base bid in the amount of $37,630.00. We have completed references for Martin
Painting & Coating Company and have found their references to be satisfactory.
