AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR THE CITY OF DUBLIN FLOOR
MAINTENANCE AND UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on February 25, 2004 for the City
of Dublin Floor Maintenance and Upholstery Cleaning Project, Council has
determined that the bid submitted by City Wide Maintenance of Columbus in the
amount of $47,400.00 is the lowest and best bid for the project; and
WHEREAS, this project is an approved 2004 CIP project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid submitted by City Wide Maintenance of Columbus in the
amount of $47,400.00 for the City of Dublin Floor Maintenance and Upholstery
Cleaning Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for
the project as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's
bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
- Section 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and
therefore shall be effective upon passage.

RE: Ciry of Dublin Floor Maintenance and Upholstery Cleaning Project
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, February 25, 2004 bids were opened for the Ciry of Dublin Floor
Maintenance and Upholstery Cleaning Project. The budgeted amount for this project is
$65,000.00, which is included in the 2004 Operating Budget.
Two (2) bids were received.
Base Bid
1). Stanley Steamer Carpet Cleaner $90,214.00
2). City Wide Maintenance of Columbus $47,400.00
This work consists of steam carpet cleaning, maintenance of resilient floors and upholstery
cleaning
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending adoption of Ordinance no. 16-04, accepting City Wide Maintenance of
Columbus' base bid in the amount of $47,400.00. We have completed references for City
Wide Maintenance of Columbus and have found their references to be satisfactory.
