AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING
THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE
RIGHT-OF-WAY PLANT INSTALLATION PROJECT,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 for the
Right-of--Way Plant Installation Project, Council has determined that the bid submitted by
Greenscapes Landscape Company in the amount of $59,960.45 is the lowest and best bid for
the project; and
WHEREAS, this project is an approved 2002 CIP project.
NOW, T EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid submitted by Greenscapes Landscape Company in the amount of
$59,960.45 for the Right-of--Way Plant Installation Project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file
in the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare of the citizens, and
therefore shall take effect upon passage.

On Wednesday, February 27, 2002 bids were opened for the Right-of-Way Plant Installation
Project. The funds for this installation are included in the 2002 Operating Budget.
The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $104,400.00. Seven (7) bids were received.

1). Aaron Landscape Incorporated $ 60,464.00
2). S.A.T. Landscape Services $109,062.50
3). The Pagura Company $ 74,794.64
4). Greenscapes Landscape Co. $ 59,960.45
5). Zuber Landscapes $ 74,070.00
6). Environmental Management, Inc. $ 68,687.00
7). The Davey Tree Expert Co. $ 75,500.00
This project consists of installation of herbaceous plants in select right-of--way landscaped beds
throughout the City of Dublin.
Staff is recommending acceptance of Greenscapes Landscape Co. base bid of $59,960.45.
Greenscapes has previously done work for the City of Dublin and their work has been satisfactory.
