An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2002
WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an appropriations measure provided sufficient
resources are available; and
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary, amendments to
the annual appropriations measure to be made in order that appropriations are not
over expended; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to
provide adequate funding authorization.
NOW, THEREF RE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
General Fund the amount of $141,000. Of the total, $41,000 is to be appropriated
to account number 101-0312-720-2349 to provide funding for a traffic study
associated with the expansion of Coffman Park, and $100,000 is to be
appropriated to account number 101-0410-710-2349 to provide funding for legal
services associated with right-of--way legislation at the State level.
Section 2. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Safety Fund the amount of $7,500 to account number 214-0810-750-2390 to
provide funding for increased security needs for the City's July 4th celebration and
the Dublin Irish Festival.
Section 3. The public hearing be waived to provide immediate funding
authorization for the purposes identified.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with
Section 4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter.

Subject: Ordinance No. 87-02 Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance
Date: June 13, 2002
Ordinance 87-02 is necessary to amend annual appropriations in the General Fund, and in
the Safety Fund.
Section 1 appropriates $41,000 in the General Fund to fund the traffic study as requested
by the Coffinan Park Expansion Task Force and as agreed to by consensus of City Council.
The traffic study will be completed based on the scope of service provided at the June 3,
2002, City Council meeting. The study is estimated to be completed in 6 - 8 weeks.
Section 1 also appropriates additional funding for legal services related to litigation costs
associated with HB 283 (right-of--way legislation) and efforts involved in negotiating a
compromise, SB 255.
Section 2 provides $7,500 for additional security needs identified for special events,
specifically the July 4`h celebration and the Dublin Irish Festival. This funding will be used
to improve security at these events, including bag screeners at entry gates at both events and
stage security at the Dublin Irish Festival.
