AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH NEXUS TELECOMMUNICATIONS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING TELECOMMUNICATIONS
CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF LOCATING
WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the Telecommunications Act of 1996 requires the reasonable accommodation
of wireless telecommunications structures; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has modified its code to comply with the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin desires to comply with the Act by employing innovative
techniques to accommodate wireless telecommunications structures, while minimizing
negative visual and aesthetic impacts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin and Nexus Telecommunications have previously worked to
locate such structures with Nexus Telecommunications having successfully negotiated the
placement of such structures and obtained lease agreements mutually beneficial to the City
and wireless service providers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin and Nexus Telecommunications wish to continue this
relationship;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, '~ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Nexus
Telecommunications for the purpose of providing telecommunications consulting services
for the purpose of locating wireless telecommunications structures.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall go in to effect on the earliest date permitted by law.
