An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 1997
WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an appropriation measure provided sufficient resources
are available; and
WHEREAS, City Council has authorized the purchase of Shawan Falls for the
purpose of preserving the area as public parkland; and
WHEREAS, sufficient resources are available in the Parkland Acquisition Fund, a
fund that was established for the purpose of acquiring recreational facility sites, open
space and parkland; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide
the funding authorization to purchase Shawan Falls and pay~for related acquisition
costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~_ of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Parkland Acquisition fund the amount of $410,000 to account 41-02-10-2510 for the
purpose of acquiring Shawan Falls and paying related acquisition costs.
Section 2. That the public hearing be waived in order to provide immediate funding
to acquire this site.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take and be in force in accordance with Section
4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter.
