APPENDIX A -SCHEDULE OF FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 52-96 TO REVISE THE FEE FOR AN
AMUSEMENT DEVICE OPERATION REVIEW IN APPENDIX A OF THE
SCHEDULE OF FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES FOR CITY OF DUBLIN SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin, Ohio has adopted Ordinance 52-96 on August 5, 1996, which
established its policy as to the recovery of costs and more particularly the percentage of full costs
to be recovered from users of the City services and established a schedule of fees and charges
for City services which complied with the policy set forth in that Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the fee for an amusement device operation review was listed in the Schedule of
Fees and Service Charges as $150/year each machine plus an $80 initial filing fee; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin, Ohio has adopted Amended Ordinance 112-95 on February 19,
1997 which amended the regulation of mechanical and electrically operated amusement devices
to provide for zoning/use classifications that allowed more than three amusement devices at a
single premise; and
WHEREAS, the current fee of $150/year each machine was established prior to amendment
of Ordinance 112-95 with the understanding that the fee was established in excess of actual cost
to issue the license in an effort to monitor the placement of the devices in the community; and
WHEREAS, after review by the Finance Committee of City Council it is necessary to amend
the Schedule of Fees and Service Charges for City services to reduce the cost of the license per
machine at locations where there are three machines or less, and establish the cost of a facility
license where there are more than three machines at a site as maybe provided by the Codified
Ordinances of the City of Dublin.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio,
members of the elected officials concurring:
Section 1. Appendix A of Ordinance 52-96 is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 2 That the fee schedule identified in Section 1 be effective pursuant to the policies and
procedures identified in Ordinance 52-96.
Section 3.
The Ordinance shall therefore take effect and be in force on the earliest date permitted by law.
