AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR
FLOOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Floor Maintenance
Services contract on Wednesday, February 25, 1998, Council has
determined that the base bid submitted by Master Maintenance in the
amount of $30,000 is the lowest and best bid; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE T ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid for the Floor Maintenance Services in the
amount of $30,000 submitted by Master Maintenance is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Master Maintenance Services for Floor Maintenance Services
pursuant to the bid specifications and documents on file in the office of
Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure
necessary for the for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health, safety or welfare, and for the further reason to meet the timeframes
of the bid. Therefore, this ordinance shall be effective upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04 (a) (6) of the Revised Charter.

Memo
On Wednesday, February 25, 1998, bids were received and opened for the Floor Maintenance Services
contract. Five bids were received with the lowest submitted by Master Maintenance in the amount of
$30,000. We have experience with Master Maintenance and found their work to be adequate. I am
recommending that this contract be awarded to Master Maintenance.
