An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The
Fiscal Year Ending December 31,1997
WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an appropriations measure provided sufficient resources
are available; and
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary, amendments to the
annual appropriations be made in order that appropriations are not over expended;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide
adequate funding in various budget accounts.
NOW, THEREFO , BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. There be appropriated in the unappropriated balance in the General Fund
the amount of $236,300 to the following accounts for the purposes stated in the
attached memo:

Section 2. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the HotellMotel
Tax Fund the amount of $5,300 to account 17-01-13-2370 for the Dublin Irish
Festival advertising and $6,000 to account 17-02-11-2822 for costs related to the
development of a Sensory Garden at Trabue Nature Reserve.
Section 3. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Mayor's
Court Computer Fund the amount of $10,000 to account 22-02-12-2520 for the
purchase of computers.
Section 4. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Capital
Improvements Tax Fund the amount of $35,700 to account 40-03-14-2550 for
R-O-W acquisition costs related to the Hard Road/SR 257 intersection improvement
project.
Section 5. The appropriations in the Capital Improvement Tax Fund be reduced by
$1,772,400. This reduction reflects the funding previously authorized for 1997
capital projects that are reflected in the 1998 Operating Budget as 1997 carryover
projects. Of the total, $192,400 will be reduced from account 40-03-14-2511 and the
remaining $1,580,000 will be reduced from account 40-03-14-2550.

Section 6. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Metatec TIF
Fund the amount of $91,343.29 to account 51-03-14-2710 for the purpose of
transferring the amount of service payments received in 1997 to the Debt Service
Fund to retire the debt obligations related to the TIF project.
Section 7. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Public
Works Commission Fund the amount of $50,000 to account 53-03-14-2551 for costs
related to utility relocation of the Coffman Road widening project.
Section 8. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Duke
Realty Investment TIF Fund the amount of $156,457.34 to account 55-03-14-2710
for the purpose of transferring the amount of service payments received in 1997 to
the Debt Service Fund to retire the debt obligations related to the TIF project.
Section 9. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Merchandising Fund the amount of $7,000 to the following accounts:

Section 10. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Employee
Benefits Self-Insurance Fund the amount of $260,000. Of the total, $16,000 is to be
appropriated to account 70-01-11-2307 for third party administration fees and
$244,000 to account 70-O1-11-2361 for claims.
Section 11. The public hearing be waived to provide immediate funding for the
stated purposes.
Section 12. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with
Section 4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter.
