YE,~.R An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2000 WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental appropriations to be made to an appropriations measure provided sufficient resources are available; and WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary, amendments to the annual appropriations measure to be made in order that appropriations are not over expended; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide funding in certain budget accounts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring that: Section 1. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the General Fund the amount of $225,787.75. Of the total, $50,000 is to be appropriated to account 101-0120-710-2349 for golf course architectural services related to the proposed golf course project in southwest Dublin and $175,787.75 is to be appropriated to account 101-0230-810-2722 to transfer funds to the Frantz Road Improvements Fund. Section 2. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Frantz Road Improvements Fund the amount of $175,787.75 to account 414-0314-780-2550 to reimburse American Electric Power for the costs of relocating power lines underground. Section 3. The public hearing be waived to provide immediate funding for the above projects. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter. Passed this ~~~ day of , 2000. Hansley, City Manager '~'"' Date: May 30, 2000 Subject: Ordinance No. 85-00, An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Initiated by: Marsha I. Grigsby, Director of Finance~~'~~' Ordinance No. 85-00 requests additional funding authorization for the following purposes: Section 1. The $50,000 is necessary to retain the services of Hurdzan-Fry to perform preliminary design work for the proposed golf course. This will allow the project to continue moving forward. Once the rezoning process has been completed, a professional services agreement for design of the course will be executed with Hurdzan-Fry. The $175,787.75 is needed for the S.R. 161/Frantz Road intersection improvement project. The Division of Engineering recently received the final invoice from American Electric Power (AEP) for the cost of relocating their power lines underground. The invoice was in the amount of $283,245.50 and the unencumbered balance remaining in the Frantz Road Improvement Fund is $107,457.75. The appropriation will allow funds to be transferred from the General Fund to the Frantz Road Improvement Fund. Section 2. This requests appropriates the funds needed in the Frantz Road Improvement Fund to reimburse AEP for the relocation of their power lines underground as discussed in Section 1.
