Passed AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE DUBLIN PARKS FENCE INSTALLATION PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY ••r- WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 for the Dublin Parks Fence Installation project, an approved 2000 expenditure, Council has determined that the base bid submitted by Mid-West Landscape, Inc. in the amount of $53,987.00 is the lowest and best bid for the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That the base bid submitted by Mid-West Landscape, Inc. in the amount of $53,987.00 for the Dublin Parks Fence Installation project is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities. Section 3. That this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further reason that it is desirable that the project be completed during the optimal construction season. The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $50,000.00. Two (2) complete bids were received. Base Bid 1. Mid-West Landscape, Inc. $53,987 w.2. Lannis Fence Systems $57,468 The project consists of removal of existing fence, installation of new fence and/or repair of existing fence at Avery Park, Darree Fields Park, Monterey Park, and Donegal Cliffs Park. Staff is recommending acceptance of Mid-West Landscape, Inc. in the amount of $53,987.00.
