AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE COFFMAN ROAD PARK PHASE II PROJECT, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Coffinan Road Park Phase
II project on Wednesday, July 15, 1998, Council has determined that the base bid of
$289,000.00 and bid alternate 3 at $25,000.00 submitted by The Nadalin Company, Inc. is
the lowest and best bid; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded in the CIP.
NOW, WHEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid and bid alternate 3 in the amount of $289,000.00 and
$25,000.00 respectively, submitted by The Nadalin Company, Inc. is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with The
Nadalin Company, Inc. for completion of the project, pursuant to the bid specifications and
documents on file in the office of the Parks Maintenance division.
Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further
reason that the timeframes for completion of the project require emergency action.
Therefore, the ordinance shall be effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.05 of
the Revised Charter.

On Wednesday July 15, 1998, bids were opened on Coffinan Road Park Phase II, an approved CIP at 10:00
a.m.
The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $300,000.00. One (1) bid was received.
1). The Nadalin Company, Inc. $289,000.00 -Base bid
Bid Alternate One (1) $73,000.00
Bid Alternate Two (2) $13,200.00
Bid Alternate Three (3) $25,000.00
This project consists of the construction of a concrete multi-use plaza with exterior lighting, a wooden
platform stage, concrete and asphalt walkways and site landscaping. Bid Alternate Three (3) consists of
landscaping associated with the Community Stage.
Staff is recommending acceptance of The Nadalin Company, Inc.'s base bid plus Bid Alternate Three (3),
for a total contract amount of $314,000.00.
