An Ordinance Authorizing The Purchase Of A 10 t Acre Tract Of Land
Located At 5160 Avery Road For The Purpose Of Preserving Open Space
Along Woerner-Temple Road (Joseph and Venus Bee Property)
WHEREAS, a goal of Dublin City Council is to continue to acquire land for
parkland/open space and community development purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to acquire this 10~ acre tract of land for the
preservation of open space along WoernerTemple Road for an amount not to exceed
$584,800; and
WHEREAS, the City previously acquired an 11.27 tract of land for the Woerner-
Temple roadway project which included a significant amount of acreage for open
space; and
WHEREAS, this 10~ acre tract of land will connect with the previously acquired
open space and provide a continuous green belt along WoernerTemple Road from
Avery Road to Wilcox Road; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated in the 1999 Operating Budget
for land acquisition in the Capital Improvements Tax Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~- of the elected members concurring that:
. ection 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Real Estate Purchase
Agreement and any necessary closing documents related to the acquisition of the 10~
acre tract of land located at 5160 Avery Road as described in the attached Exhibit.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with Section
4.04 (a) of the Dublin City Charter.
